What Emerald Sphere is

Emerald Sphere is a platform that connects volunteers with independent conservation organisations ("bases"). Each base runs its own programs, reviews its own applications, and is responsible for its own operations. Applying through the platform creates a relationship between you and the base — Emerald Sphere provides the infrastructure, not the programs themselves.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details private, and give us accurate information when you register or apply. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the platform, misrepresent identity, or interfere with other users.

Content and ownership

Bases own the content they publish — their programs, pages, media and research. Volunteers own the content of their applications. You give us permission to store and display this content in order to run the platform, and nothing more.

Programs and travel

Decisions about applications rest with each base. Travel, insurance, visas and personal safety arrangements for any program are between you and the base running it — check the details carefully with them before you commit to travel.

Liability

We work to keep the platform accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and cannot accept liability for the acts or omissions of individual bases, or for loss arising from your participation in a program.
